An der Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max-Planck-Institut für Kunstgeschichte sind in der Abteilung von Prof. Dr. Tristan Weddigen zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt mehrere

 

Nachwuchsstellen

für promovierende und promovierte Kunsthistoriker*innen

 

zu besetzen. Die Nachwuchsstellen sind zunächst auf ein Jahr befristet, können aber im Fall von Promovierenden auf maximal drei und im Fall von Postdocs auf maximal zwei Jahre verlängert werden. Ein Bezug zu den aktuellen Schwerpunkten der Abteilung wird begrüßt: italienische Entwürfe der Moderne und Gegenwart, Italien im globalen Kontext mit Fokus auf Lateinamerika, Materialität und Medialität, transnationale Wissenschaftsgeschichte und digitale Kunstwissenschaft. Weitere Informationen über das wissenschaftliche Programm der Abteilung finden sich auf der Website des Instituts. Ein überdurchschnittlicher Hochschulabschluss in Kunstgeschichte wird vorausgesetzt und eine aktive Teilnahme an den Aktivitäten des Instituts erwartet.

Bei Vorliegen der entsprechenden persönlichen Voraussetzungen bieten wir Promovierenden einen Fördervertrag, der die wissenschaftliche Freiheit eines Stipendiums mit der Sicherheit eines Arbeitsvertrags verbindet. Postdocs erhalten einen befristeten Arbeitsvertrag. Beide Vertragsarten lehnen sich hinsichtlich der Entgeltzahlung an den Tarifvertrag des öffentlichen Dienstes (TVöD Bund) unter Einschluss der üblichen Sozialleistungen an. Die Max-Planck-Gesellschaft will den Anteil von Frauen in den Bereichen erhöhen, in denen sie unterrepräsentiert sind. Frauen werden deshalb ausdrücklich aufgefordert, sich zu bewerben. At the Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History, the department of Prof. Dr. Tristan Weddigen offer several

 

doctoral and postdoctoral positions for art historians

 

to be filled as soon as possible. Following successful evaluation, the one-year positions can be extended to the maximum of three years for the doctoral position and be prolonged for a sec-ond year for the postdoctoral position. Connections to the department’s current core subjects of research are welcome, which are: Italian conceptions of modernism and postmodernism, Italy in a global context with a focus on Latin America, materiality and mediality, transnational history of science and digital art science. Further information on the department's scientific program can be found on the institute's website. An outstanding degree is a prerequisite; par-ticipation in the institute’s activities is expected.

 

The application should enclose the following documents:

- a curriculum vitae

- a description of the research project (3-5 pages), including a bibliography and a work plan

- references, no letters of recommendation

 

Depending on specific individual conditions, the Max Planck Society offers doctoral candi-dates a funding contract, which combines the academic freedom of a scholarship with the security of a contract of employment, while postdocs receive a fixed-term contract of em-ployment. Concerning remuneration and standard social benefits, both types of contract fol-low the model of the civil service collective agreement (TVöD Bund). The Max Planck Socie-ty wishes to increase the share of women in all areas, in which they are underrepresented, and thus explicitly invites them to apply. posizioni di dottorato e post-dottorato per storici dell'arte

 

inizialmente limitate ad un anno. In seguito, le posizioni di dottorato possono essere estese a un massimo di tre anni, mentre le posizioni di post-dottorato possono essere prolungate per un massimo di due anni. Un’attinenza agli attuali temi di ricerca del dipartimento, di seguito elencati, è benvenuta: progetti italiani del modernismo e del postmodernismo, l'Italia in un contesto globale con focus sull'America Latina, materialità e medialità, storia della scienza transnazionale e scienza dell’arte digitale. Ulteriori informazioni sul programma scientifico del dipartimento sono disponibili sul sito web dell'istituto. Requisito fondamentale per la candidatura è una laurea universitaria superiore alla media; viene inoltre richiesta la partecipazione assidua alle attività dell'istituto.

A seconda delle specifiche condizioni individuali, offriamo ai dottorandi un finanziamento, che combina la libertà accademica di una borsa di studio con la sicurezza di un contratto di lavoro, mentre i postdoc ricevono un contratto di lavoro a tempo determinato. Per quanto riguarda la retribuzione e le prestazioni sociali, entrambi i tipi di contratto seguono il modello del contratto collettivo di servizio pubblico (TVöD Bund). La società Max Planck intende aumentare la quota delle donne in tutti gli ambiti lavorativi, in cui sono sottorappresentate, e quindi le invita esplicitamente a candidarsi.
