ICOM Europe-Seminar: “Cultural Volunteering in Museums”
Registration open now: email@example.com
CULTURAL VOLUNTEERING IN MUSEUMS
For several decades now, the National Museum of Roman Art of Merida (MNAR) has been working on Cultural Volunteering. With this experience, the Museum has been awarded with an Erasmus Plus project in 2018-2019, whose results are being evaluated and will be publicized in 2020. It seems, thus, interesting to be able to celebrate in Merida, at MNAR, the annual ICOM Europe spring Seminar in the year 2020, focused on this theme. In these journeys we intend to define the role and aspects of the Cultural Volunteering in the Museums of Europe, a very important role by the weight that supposes volunteering as a reflection of the civil society in our museums. For 3 days, the participants will be able to meet the MNAR and the Heritage Heritage of Humanity, to reflect among all on volunteer experiences and contrast their role, each day more relevant, in the society of the 21st century.
