24th ICOM General Conference

will take place in Milan (Italy) from July 3-9, 2016, and the theme of the conference will be ‘Museums and Cultural Landscapes’. Milan is a cosmopolitan city, rich in memory and cultural initiatives. See the conference website for registration.

The ICAMT program is organized by:

The information and program of the ICAMT conference, as part of the General Conference, is under construction, although there is some global information already known. 

CALL FOR PAPERS

Day 1, July 3th
Advisory Committee, and in the afternoon joint IC meeting.

Day 2, July 4th, ICAMT
2 hours of presentations, 2 hours ICAMT/ICOM-US by Martha Morris.
In the evening the Opening Party at the Castello Sforzesco. 

Day 3, July 5th, ICAMT
CAMOC/ICAMT day, this is a joint IC-meeting in the auditorium of museum MUDEC, the Chipperfield designed museum. 4 hours of presentations and visits to MUDEC and Armani Silos.

Day 4, July 6th, ICAMT
2 hours of presentations, visits to Fondazione Portaluppi and Pinacoteca di Brera. In the evening a concert will take place at the Duomo. 

Day 5, July 7th, ICAMT
University day at the Politecnico, with presentations, discussions and work of architecture students based on the theme "Museums and Cultural Landscapes".

Day 6, July 8th, ICAMT
Excursions outside of the Milan city, ICAMT will go to Trento to the new Science Museum MUSE designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop opened in 2014.

Day 7, July 9th
Advisory Committee.
In the Evening the Closing Party at the Triennale.
