Communicating the Museum

19. Juni 2017 - 22. Juni 2017, Paris, Frankreich

Communicating the Museum (CTM) was launched in Paris in 2000 when Agenda invited several British cultural institutions to present their branding and communication strategy to French institutions. The first edition of the conference gathered 50 people in the Louvre.

Since then, over 5’000 professionals from the cultural sector have attended Communicating the Museum in 14 different cities.

We are delighted to host this year’s European edition of CTM in Paris, city of light, love and culture. With over 150 museums and monuments, Paris offers one of the most diverse selections of museums in the world.

Join us 19-22 June, to learn about the communication strategies from large and small museums, to meet your peers, and share best practices.

THE POWER OF EDUCATION

For the past decades cultural institutions have been moving from Temples of Knowledge to participative platforms. They are developing and strengthening their mission to educate and inspire.

Education and communications departments are now working together to engage visitors in learning experiences, to enhance their curiosity and to start conversations.

During CTM17 Paris the best experts from the museum sector and from outside industries will demonstrate how education is a communication strategy. From audioguides to community outreach, from gallery talks to programmes created for audiences with disabilities learn from the world best practices.
