Job Openings for the House of European History in Brussels
The European Parliament is seeking experienced curators, museum educators, conservation and collection managers, assistant-curators, and conservator-restorers for the House of European History in Brussels.
The House of European History, which is scheduled to open in 2016 in Leopold Park in Brussels, will give visitors the opportunity to learn about European history and reflect on its meaning for the present day. It will house a permanent exhibition with a specific focus on the history of European integration and will also offer temporary and travelling exhibitions mainly of the 20th century. The core, exhibition related, services of the House of European History will be available in 24 languages.
In view of completing the project team which is currently developing this House of European History, the European Parliament is looking for curators, educators, collection managers, and conservators. The future colleagues will work in Brussels in the dynamic working environment of the European Parliament. The working environment requires knowledge of languages, flexibility, adaptability and the capacity to integrate into a multi-national, multi-disciplinary and multi-lingual team.
Candidates must be EU Citizens with at least 2 EU languages - one of the official EU languages plus good written and spoken knowledge of English, French or German. They will be working in a multicultural, multilingual and dynamic environment and should also be flexible, adaptable and thus able to become integrated into a fast-moving diverse environment.

The indicative basic starting salary for curators, museum educators, conservation and collection managers (grade AD7): € 5 612 month (based on a 40 hour working week).
The indicative basic starting salary for assistant-curators, and conservator-restorers (grade AST3): € 3 424 month (based on a 40 hour working week).
The European institutions have their own social security and pension schemes.
