COME-IN! CHALLENGES towards accessible museums

8. Juni 2017, Hotel Leopold (Rue du Luxembourg 35, 1050 Ixelles) Brüssel

The COME-IN! Consortium has developed COME-IN! guidelines, that represent a set of rules, technical requirements and legal references to ensure open access to small and medium museums in Central Europe and their exhibitions. This is one of the main project output as it represents a project strategy to be endorsed by policy makers and extended to other museums even beyond the Central Europe area.

In order to promote the achieved milestone, a transnational conference entitled "COME-IN Challenges towards accessible museums" will take place in Brussels on June, 8th, 2017 at the hotel Leopold. In this occasion partners wish to meet all interested stakeholders to learn about this important strategy and to give their valuable opinion on the topics such as: accessible tourism and museums, constructional accessibility and monument preservation, what do disabled people really need to access a museum or a cultural site.

The conference will take place in English and in sign language upon request. The participation is free of charge, but the registration is required.
